Children room
It is true that children enjoy cheerful interiors, but too many colours can overwhelm even a toddler. When designing a child’s room, safety, functionality, and aesthetics are the most important factors. For a newborn, it is best to choose subdued colours such as beige or pastel shades of yellow. Intense, excessive colours can overstimulate or even irritate the child.
Make sure all elements work well together and complement each other. Since guests often bring many toys, try to arrange them so they don’t compete with a busy or intense background.
It’s worth noting that more and more interior designers are moving away from the traditional division of pink and blue for girls and boys.
Warm shades of yellow, red, and orange are generally most soothing for babies. Beige and cream colours also have a positive effect on their mood.
For slightly older children, consider painting walls only up to a certain height—around one meter. This way, the colour is visible at the child’s eye level but the room retains its spacious feel. The same principles apply when painting adult bedrooms, taking into account the size and lighting of the room.
