Hall

Despite the fact that it is not a standard room, hall should be also well thought out in terms of arrangement. It fulfils the practical functions to a large extent, but also introduces our apartment. The hall is the first room that we pass after entering the house. It should be kept in a style like the rest of the rooms, to feel the atmosphere of the apartment from the doorstep.

There are two trends in the way of arranging the hall. One is the complete separation of the interior, which will clearly be cut off from subsequent rooms. The second, a combination of a hall with other rooms, such as a living room. In the second case, you can apply the same colour on the walls and floors, which will optically enlarge the space. Subdued, bright colours are perfect to optically enlarge the room, which is usually not very spacious. If the hallway is narrow, but long, use a different colour, or texture on a fragment of the wall. This will balance the proportions of the room. In small halls, it is worth paying a special attention to the light that can heat the interior. Equally helpful in such spaces will be mirrors, optically magnifying surface, reflecting light and additionally brightening the hall.
